It was a simple exchange at the drug store. Casual pleasantries with the lady behind the counter as she rung up my purchase.
It was clear that she was ready to go home. With two more hours left on the clock, she looked tired as she spoke of her evening plans.
I was struck by what this woman was willing to settle for in her life: a job making just enough to pay the bills and the chance to go home after standing on her feet all day so she could put her feet up in front of the TV.
The mention of vacation was laughed off as though it was fully acceptable to never really have one (she simply enjoyed days at home while on vacation).
Having just left the Millionaire Mind Intensive (MMI), listening to her, I felt like I had stepped into another world.
Before the MMI, I would have heard the words she said, smiled and left without giving it another thought.
